Autism Awareness – NEPA is a not for profit community organization, whose goal is to promote awareness and to support community programs for individuals with Autism in Luzerne County. This event is being conducted under the auspices of the Luzerne Foundation.
Grants are made available every year to support the ongoing provision and enhancement of community programs. Previous recipients of the grants include the Jewish Community Center of Wilkes-Barre; Epona Equine Education; Step by Step, Inc.; New Story; SAFE; Three Treasures Thai Chi, Camp Orchard Hill, Hillside Farms, Pittston YMCA, and Connections. These grants were used to provide camp opportunities, socialization/recreation programs, and vocational programming to children throughout Luzerne County. Sponsorships and contributions tallied from last year exceeded $30,000. Autism Awareness – NEPA continues to be able to reinvest these monies into the community by way of grants to be awarded annually at the Autism Candlelight Vigil. We are very excited to be able to continue this venture and are looking to obtain continued support from our community partners.
Here are a few ways that you can help:
- Become a Sponsor!
- Make a flat donation to the Autism Walk (checks should be made payable to: The Luzerne Foundation c/o Autism Awareness – NEPA)

Thank you in advance for your support.
Respectfully,
